Play live blackjack

Blackjack is one of the most popular casino games. Learning to play it is easy, and a player who uses intuition and strategy can be successful in no time. Live Blackjack allows you to play against a real dealer and experience the atmosphere of a real casino from the comfort of your own home.

The basic rules of live blackjack

We have live blackjack tables run by real dealers, and there are seven betting boxes available at each table. Live blackjack has 8 decks of 52 cards which are periodically shuffled (at regular online blackjack tables the cards are shuffled after each hand).

If you have blackjack on the first two cards, you win at odds of 3:2. "Insurance" (available if the dealer has an open ace) pays 2:1 if the dealer has blackjack. You can double your bet with any two cards. You can split a pair once. When splitting aces, only one additional card is dealt for each new hand.

Additional bets are also available, including bets on the other player's hand (bet behind), which can be placed either while waiting for a seat to become available at the table or if you simply want to place an extra bet. You can also place Perfect Pairs and 21 3 bets.

  • The theoretical return to the player in live blackjack is 99.28%.
  • The theoretical return to the player on Perfect Pairs™ bets is 95.90%.
  • The theoretical return to the player for a 21 3™ bet is 96.30%.

Live blackjack rules

At our live blackjack tables, you play with real dealers. Real cards are used here. Test yourself against our professional dealers in this classic casino game. Place additional bets, including bets on the other player's hand (bet behind).

The rules of the game

Our live casino blackjack games are available in a variety of stakes. Each table uses 8 decks of 52 cards, which are periodically shuffled.

Each box on which a bet is made receives two cards face up. The dealer receives one closed card and one open card. If the dealer has an ace, the player can use the "insurance", which pays 2:1 odds if the dealer turns out to be a blackjack. The player who hits blackjack will receive a payout at odds of 3:2.

The dealer stops at 17 or higher, including "soft 17" (a hand with an ace totaling 17 or 7 points).

In subsequent stages of the hand, additional options become available. So you can double your initial bet on any two-card hand, but after that you only get one additional card.

You can split two paired cards (two eights, two twos, a king and a jack, a queen and a ten, etc.) with an additional bet equal to the initial bet. You can only split once, and when splitting aces for each of the 2 new hands, only one card is dealt.

In live blackjack, the option to "surrender" (sarrenda) is not available.

Table Types and Optional Bets

Live blackjack tables are open 24 hours a day. At some tables extra options are available. For example at private tables (exclusive to our players) the game is played in English and German, and there are bets available for betting on the other player's hand (bet behind), as well as various additional bets.
